2009-07-18 - Satisfying 2nd position after tough start

The 6th run of the Endurance Race Championship was marked by typical capricious weather conditions. After a dry starting phase it began to rain heavily. Unfortunately, the tyre change and the refuelling procedure needed to be done when the pit lane was highly frequented and no petrol pump was left free. Due to the general chaos the loss of time grew up to 5 minutes.

Stippler: „In the second half of the race we were able to keep up with the top times, but it had already been to late – under these circumstances we have to be satisfied with the 2nd position.“
