2010-07-03 - Satisfied with 2nd overall-placing

In contrast to the 4th VLN-race, Stuck and Stippler were happy with their 2nd overall placing this time at the 5th seasonal race. Although they had been in the lead in between the race, they had been slightly too slow this time against the Manthey-Porsche at the end of the day. Consequently, the team was satisfied with the 2nd position after Strietzels highspeed crash at the Schwedenkreuz and the resulting stopping of the race on the one hand, and on the other hand with the light outcome of the accident.

Stippler: "We are satisfied with the 2nd place this time because we were simply not able to go for more speed against the Olaf Manthey Porsche. We did everything possible. The Phoenix-team did again a good job, Strietzel had come to the wrong place at the wrong time - there is not much to be done in 6th gear if you drive with slicks into the rain behind a hump - we keep on fighting..."
